HOUSE FIRE – TOTAL LOSS
February 23, 2016
When your mind is quiet and you listen closely, you will hear the children weeping silently. These are homeless children, who have endured pain and suffering before they ever had a chance to experience real love. We will never ignore their cries for help, for all they wish is that somebody will always be there for them. They have so many needs at this point especially accommodation, feeding and education, they do not have a family, we are their family. They didn’t know how it feels to be loved and they’ve never lived anywhere that felt like home not until we brought them to promise child care facilities to be taken care of as we give them shelter education and food. Having finished the primary school education we took them to a new home at Kirinyabigo –Mutundwe where pastor Michael used to stay before he built his miracle house. And this house, became their only home where we have been accommodating them for the last three years, fire started on the night of 18th February 2016 as they were outside chatting at around 7;30 pm, their House Father and care taker Late Ddumba Yosam was inside the house, somebody called on their attention to come and see their house started with fire. These orphaned, needy, vulnerable, helpless, weak and powerless children burst into tears, crying for help…but it was all in vain. All their clothes, beds, books, food, things they were supposed to use at home and more painful and not easy to forget, their beloved House Father Late Yosam Ddumba died in the fire.
Later on the fire men came but they came late and everything they ever owned was already destroyed in the fire.
It was in this house that they had found a home and relief from all of the suffering. Now their house is no more, most of them are staying with pastor Michael in his home, others in various church family members and some of these children are sleeping at church to save life. All their clothes, food, beds, books, bibles are no more. I pray that you stand with us to finish this work which we began several years ago ; you will hear these children crying out for help all through the night, with a lot of pain, trembling and pleading for anyone who has generous heart to rescue them from this nightmare.
For l was hungry and you gave me food: I was thirsty and you gave me a drink: I was naked and you clothed me. (Mathew 25:34-40)
These acts of mercy we all can do every day. These acts do not depend on wealth, ability or intelligence, they are simple acts freely given and freely received. We have no excuse to neglect those who have deep needs and we cannot hand over this responsibility to the Government. Jesus demands our personal involvement in caring for others. (Isaiah 58:7) The Bible says “Is it not to share your food with the hungry and provide the wanderer with shelter, when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not turn away from your own flesh and blood?”
“A CRY FOR HELP”
These poor orphaned children are *crying*–They are crying for their beloved House Father Late Yasom Ddumba who died in the fire, their clothes, their books, their beds, their Bibles, their food, they cry for the things they were supposed to use in the house and their home which is no more.. The thirty six (36) orphaned, needy, vulnerable, helpless, weak and powerless children under our care are now in a great need, which must be addressed as soon as possible as a way of making sure their cry for help is answered.
The most pressing needs that we would like to address in the next few days include provision of scholastic materials, personal effects, feeding, and accommodation.
We have been looking at houses to rent which are really expensive at this time the rent costs 500,000 a month which is 150$ @ a month they require 6 month advance.
In the mean while we can accommodate them at church if we meet the proposed budget of the immediate need below:

Conclusion
It is my payer that we may “Awaken the love of God Within us to respond to the voice of these vulnerable children crying for help to Empower them for self-reliance.”
Our vision is “Empowering for self-reliance” by keeping the orphaned and needy children in school as it’s the education of the disadvantaged/needy and orphans our main goal or target so as to prepare a young and strong generation that fears and loves the Lord Jesus Christ through our activities here in Uganda by supporting them go to school, provide them with scholastic materials, personal effects + feeding and accommodating them, so that at the end of day they can become empowered with knowledge and skills to always find a suitable solution to challenges from the ever-dynamic environment. So as a church based organization, we hope at the end be able to draw many to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, through ministering to the community and keeping over 36 orphaned and Needy Children in School. Very many thanks indeed!
Yours in Christ,
Apostle Michael Lutalo.
